My father left my mother and I when I was four years old, and then my mother passed away when I was ten. Since then I was a ward of the court, and was raised by my sister and large extended family. I was the community child. Everyone contributed what they could whether it be time, money or love and life lessons. As a result, I am deeply grateful and value my family and therefore started this family focused practice.

While I appreciate the family unit, I’m also well aware that it comes in all shapes, sizes and dynamics. Whoever your family is, it’s my instinct to help you manage and protect it. I founded People Law Practice in 2013 upon my graduation from The University of San Francisco School of Law.

Because life circumstances and relationships are fluid and continually evolving over time, I believe it’s important to accept the evolution, have realistic expectations and prepare for the future effectively. A parenting plan that works today may not be as efficient in a couple years as your children grow older and have new activities. I strive to help my clients respond to those changes effectively and with grace.
